Due to the tragic events that occurred at yesterdays Boston Marathon, April 16th, NBA game between the Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers has been canceled.
A spokesman for the NBA released a statement to ESPN stating the following: "First and most importantly, our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the devastating events in Boston. While we don't think it is appropriate to get into specifics, we regularly practice a wide range of state of the art security measures in all out arenas. We will continue to work with our arena and team partners, along with local law enforcements to be proactive around the perimeter of our venues and maintain a high level of vigilance, as always."
The Celtics also released a statements saying, "Our sincere sympathies go out to all those affected by the senseless tragedy. The entire Celtics organization would like to acknowledge the heroic efforts of the brave civilian, police, fire and medical personnel responding today in the City of Boston."
