NATE ROBINSON FIGHTS THROUGH PAIN TO GAIN BULLS VICTORY

The streak busting Chicago Bulls, reminded the Miami Heat that no one in the NBA plays them any tougher. The Bulls beat the Heat 93-86 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals series. With a seven-point deficit midway through the fourth quarter, the Bulls still managed to finish on a 10-0 run in the final 1:59 minutes of the game.

A critical part of this victory was due to the 5'9 third-string point-guard, Nate Robinson. Robinson started in place of an injured Kirk Hinrich and the Bulls star player Derrick Rose. Despite Robinson's second quarter collide with LeBron James, which left him with a bloody lip that required 10 stitches to close, he returned to play the whole second-half of the game. He scored 24 points in those 24 minutes, including the last seven game winning points for a total of 27 points.

"I've played on some tough teams," Robinson said. "But this one, there's something a little different, something special about this group."

STEPHEN CURRY'S HIGH-SCORING PERFORMANCE AGAINST THE SPURS

Stephen Curry helped the Golden State Warriors build a big lead against the San Antonio Spurs in Monday nights double overtime game. Curry had 11 assists, 18 for 35 from the field, 6 for 14 on 3 pointers and a total of 44 points in the Western Conference semifinal opener. Unfortunately, Curry record setting scoring slowed down in the 4th quarter of Game 1. After scoring 22 points the third quarter, Curry scored only 6 points in the last quarter.

Spurs caputured a improbable comeback going on an 18-2 run to close the fourth quarter and forcing overtime. Golden State trailed by one with only 3.9 seconds left in the second overtime, Manu Ginobili shoot the game winning 3-pointer. 127-129

"We had a heartbreaker in Game 1 of the last series (against Denver)," Curry said. "A last-second layup by Andre Miller. So we've been here before. But we know how to come back. We've been resilient team all year. To have an opportunity to go 1-1, we still have a chance to do that."
