Rapper Ja Rule Was Released From Prison
Jeffrey Atkins, stage name Ja Rule, was released from prison Tuesday after serving a two year sentence on gun charges and tax evasion. He was sentenced to two years in prison for possessing a semi-auntomatic handgun. Then sentenced to 28 months in prison after failing to pay $1.1 million in taxes between 2004 and 2008. He was able to serve these sentences concurrently.
The grammy nominated rapper, which was released from federal prison in Ray Brook, New York, will be under house arrest until July 28th.
